howdy dudes and dudettes!!

 

soooo im back from wales! had a FABULOUS week!!! such a wonderful time! heres a quick round up of what we did..... as far as i can remember lol

 

saturday - left here, went to porthmadog, via some place i cant spell where we had lunch.... got to the house, it was LOVELY! kinda dirty, but once we had sorted out the worst of the mess it was wonderful! but oh the steps! i should have very toned thighs now due to the amount of steps we did EVERY DAY around the house and down to the harbour (count em rach.... 83!!) ANYWAY, everyone else arrive shortly after us, didnt do much that day, walked down to both-y-gest in the evening i think......

 

sunday - hahahaha we went to church.... only to find that actually it was the FOURTH sunday in the month, not the third, so the service wasnt in english..... and it was at a different time too..... so we gave up on that.... then what did we do??? oh yes, elle informs me that we went to portmerion..... now thats an interesting experience... hahahaha but yeah that was fun.

 

monday - we went to HARLECH, up and down that flipping hill a million times..... the castle was groovey and the beach was lovely. was VERY hot and sunny on that day so everyone got REALLY sunburned and lived in pain for the rest of the week! but that was a nice day.

 

tuesday - we went on the train!!!! dont ask me to spell the railway name..... or where we went..... but that was a cute day (apart from matt getting smut in his eye....) this day was also incredibly hot, but we survived. we probably went on a walk down to the harbour this evening.... i cant remember tbh....

 

wednesday - we went..... erm.... OH YES this was the RANDOM day! we went somewhere where a dog was buried (allegedly) oh and had nice ice creams from there, then we went to this forest and had a picnic, then we tried to find a walk, but found a railway building site instead, so we went to climb snowdon but couldnt cos it was too hot, and we didnt have the right gear, and theres NO WAY that some of us were fit enough to do it (namely me) so we went on a short walk at the base of snowdon. then we mutinied and went home (the scenic route via some sheep walking down the road.....). that evening keith came and it was all a bit crazy! (did we do skimming??) oh yes of course, rach and matt TRIED to teach me to skimm stones in the sea.... needless to say i was RUBBISH

 

thursday - black rock sands. nice enough place, slightly bizarre with all the cars on the beach.... elle and cait drove on the sand.....we went to criccieth to drop matt off at camp, then we went to the castle, that was funny heehehehe then on a walk and stuff. got some ice creams (next please. next please. next please. NEXT PLEASE!!!) hahahahahahhahaha erm yeah went back to the house, went fishing (well, some of them did, me and cait and rach sat on the bench talking instead)

 

friday - went to the market, then random shopping in porthmadog, was fun, especially in KERFOOTS hahahah what a hilarious name hehehehehe. went back to harlech. forgot the picnic. went to the shop to buy some food (well, mum and auntie judith did anyway....). loadsa things went wrong but it was funny. i flew a power kite woooo erm yeah then back to the house. watched some doctor who (this was kinda consistent throughout the week.....)

 

saturday - time to go home :-( so we packed, tidied, left. got home and yeah, life carries on!

 

it was a VERY good week, VERY funny as well!

Howdy!

Well its been an interesting week, quite fun really! We had swanwick last weekend, that was such a good weekend!!! Spent so much time with the children, I LOVED it!!! And got to talk to some people I probably wouldn’t have spoken to otherwise! Hahaha they are all crazy!!!!

Soooooo

This week has been busy busy busy……. Monday was nothing much…recovering from the weekend mainly! Erm im sure I did something tho….. ok well maybe not…. Tuesday saw luce, she helped me cook a lasagne, that was fun hahahahahaha then the net bible study, interesting. Hahahahaha its probably a good sign that I can watch my life and laugh at it….. Wednesday spent the day with alex, we walked to the airport and back, via styal. Was a lovely day, spent a few hours at her house as well. Thursday saw luce again, that was fun! I really need to practice my pool a bit more……

Today I have done nothing much….. got up rather late hmmm oh well, then cooked a chilli, did some housey stuff, and just chilled. Its very peaceful here…..everyone is out!!!!

We are going to wales on Saturday! (in a week) that’s gonna be a good holiday! Will be nice to get away….. and sizewell is rapidly approaching as well…… hahahaha now that’s gonna be interesting!

Going to lyme park next week I think, pemberly!!!!!!!!!

Its all lovely and summery J wooooo we love the summer hahahahahahahahaha

i know it seems weird, but wow what lovely weather we have been having! gorgeous sunshine and all that! even the torrential rain on sunday hardly seemed to dampen the general mood of happy summer. and indeed it is now summer holidays (well, for those of us in limbo at least) with nothing to do until september. which is kinda good. and kinda not so good. but who knows.

its swanwick this weekend. swanwick is always a good weekend, and there is no real reason why this one wont be as good. there are some reasons why it will be interesting, but it will be good. i mean, i get to spend all weekend playing with children! hardly a bad thing!

i dont have much else to say. exams finished, has been nearly a week off now. which is fun. but it means theres no distraction anymore. at least school/exams took up thinking space. oh well. life carries on.

Hello!

Well im having a fun day today! Hahahah theyre nearly over, after Wednesday it will all be gravy! Just still trying to plough thru all the pre-released stuff for English. Oh the thrills.

This morning was SO much fun! I got landed with Toby (about 6months I think….) cos Wendy was playing and stuff, so she gave me sleeping baby….who was very very well behaved! Even when he woke up and found it was me holding him, not his mum….then he was good all thru the rest of the service, although he did try to run away during the songs. OH I LOVE BABIES!!!!

Then after the service I went to talk to dom, and he made me go with him to get a biscuit…..repeatedly….then I had to eat the mangled remains when he’d finished with them….. then I ended up being in charge of about a million children fighting over a hula hoop (no, not an edible one, u know, one of those big hoops that u swing round ur waist….or neck…..or arm…..or whatever…) hahahaha then there was dom and Andrew playing with paper over the air vents….. and Rachel came along with her zebra, and Lydia and Naomi were around, and Rebecca came over to ‘talk’ to me, and so on. All these kids are like, under 6. and they are amazing!!!! I had such fun!!!

Cant wait till swanwick!!! Get to play with little children all weekend! (and other reasons too of course……) J wooooooo

So last night, was also fun, (ok well all day then….) had the big brew in the morning/afternoon, then in the evening was the praise+prayer thing with the finnies (who, incidently, have GORGEOUS children!!) and that was fun J

im on a break from my revision at the mo. and contrary to popular belief i am actually working this week. so there. its not very interesting, especially today. child language aquisition. woooo. oh well. i only have to keep it all in my head for a few more weeks, and then i can get rid of it YAY!!!!

tonight we're going to see the da vinci code......yeh i know its supposed to be rubbish, but you cant form an opinion on something until you have experienced it. which includes certain other things, but im not even gonna go there!! hahaha oh i miss the sanity

then its carolines meal thingy on thursday, plus im going shopping with nic (its a secret, dont tell luce ) so that day is gonna be good! i get so lonely when im home revising  yeh i know elle is here too, and matt now its half term, but i miss school and all the social aspect...... oh well. im sure it will be worth it in the end......

oh and then its phils party. what the heck am i supposed to buy him??????????? and why am i in charge anyway???

yeh so. i dont rly know what the point is in this seein as people probably dont read it or care anyway, but it gives me something to do!

so on tuesday we went to hear alec motyer preaching, woah hes fantastic! i never really believed before that you can listen to a preacher for an hour without drifting off....but i do now!

wednesday was a nice day, went into school for a bit, then met up with wilmslow girlies, which was much fun! miss seeing people every day :-( but oh well, i should be used to it by now.

thursday was also a very nice day, if a bit tiring! :-)

friday was the first day that i actually got down to some serious work. and it was fun! English 16th century history is fascinating!! i love it so much, the history of the church, its my history really. so yeh that was fun. then we (me and elle and mum) went to see chitty chitty bang bang, which was FABULOUS and incredible and so funny and amazing!!!!! u have to go see it if u havent already!!!!

(friday was also carolines birthday but i couldnt be with everyone :-( hope to see people soon tho...)

today is saturday. and its the big deal action day. so we all went out into cheadle to do gardening and stuff. it was great fun! made friends with richard, hes so cute and cool, and hes nearly four! what a big grown up boy! (so much easier to cope with :-P) so yeh, then we all met up for a picnic in the park, which was rather dudey too, even though it was raining and all, it was just, i dunno, a really great morning!

so now im at home wondering what to do with myself... perhaps going to space tomorrow....perhaps not....i dunno.

so yeh, thats my week. hahaha what fun! cccf happening right now....and none of us are there....which is kinda weird.

so this is me being studious.....

really, this is me having just woken up (at half 10) and doing 'stuff' before getting down to work.... this weekend has been crazy! good, but crazy. so, on friday we finished school. FOREVER. well, apart from all the exams and extra revision lessons blah blah blah. yeh so that was a good day (well, half a day). didnt do much work, even though mrs george tried her best.... hahaha shes such a crazy lady! had a firebell in the rain, unsuprisingly. leavers assembly was alright, rather dragged out tho..... then we left! went home and fiona came round (eventually...) to do my hair...which was interesting....but it looked great in the end!!

so yeh, in the evening it was the May Ball (leavers ball). which was certainly interesting! but all in all it was a good night . i wonder how many people can actually remember any of it.....

saturday was supposed to be for sleeping, but that didnt really happen.... helped set up the upper room for the Bible encounter supporters night, but i wasnt much use cos i was still half asleep. then in the evening we went to the supporters night. which was good. like always. and i got to play with amy. who declared to anyone who would listen that she has a crush on my brother. which we all knew anyway, but it was highly amusing!

sunday was another 'i cant catch up on sleep cos i have to get up' day. was lillys baptism in the morning, which was incredible!!! then had family round all day. there was.... me, elle, matt, mum, dad, granny, sarah, jon, Auntie Jackie, clare, sam, Uncle paul, auntie paula. not many, but a great selection! a very amusing day (what did she say? ah phil!) went to the net in the evening, luce and caroline came too which was nice. hadnt seen luce for AGES.

so today is working day. i am going to go sort out my folders and stuff in a bit.

hope everyone is having fun! people preparing for exams....dont worry too much. just focus on the work! and give yourself time off and stuff.

this is my new philosophy on life, as the wilmslow girls might have figured out..... when its all goin wrong and horrible, just think of dasies. and it works!

But im happy. pretty much. well, apart from the fact that i went babysitting tonight and andrew beat me 13-12 at connect four. and on saturday he beat me at boggle 27-17. very depressing. especially as i wasnt even letting him win....i think im getting too soft on them....tonight they had a water fight in the kitchen... despite me confiscating the water bottle thing.....

never mind. and all my babysitting money has gone  i got £30 for the past two...and its all gone straight to mum. but at least my debts are cleared.

we went to the carrs on friday night!!! how much fun was that?!?!?!?!? woooo i love that place, wanna go again! its the geography field trip place!! very exciting! (what did she say? what did she say?) hehehehehe no body will get that joke...apart from elle....trust me, its very funny!!!!

so.

twas fuel last night, twas good. the talk was tres good (whats french for good? bon?) didnt know many of the songs, so that didnt help.....spent nice time with fiona after  honey, i love u so much!!!!

busy busy week coming up. luces tomorrow, weds is free (to do work yay) thurs is presentation evening, friday is babysitting (its strange, like busses....people dont want u, then suddenly everyone does at once!!!!) saturday got some people comin for dinner.....its gonna be good, but so hectic!

today was exciting. because today i VOTED!!!! how exciting is that?!?!?!?!?! ok so maybe i was slightly over-excited about it all......but i think its great!!! i feel all old and grown up now hahahaha well ok maybe not

its very hot today. the bus was slightly unbearable....... but we shouldnt complain. sheesh, we complain if its too cold, we complain if its too hot...... (yeh, i know i just complain at everything, but hey)

just for the record.....wills birthday meal was very much fun! had a fantastic evening! sunday was good.....dont remember what happend.....but it was good....oh no it wasnt, i was havin a bad day :-( but its better now. monday we went to visit clare and sam....that was a good day, nice to be over in liverpool....its a lovely place..... yeh blah blah blah been a normal week......

so we start on a reflective note.... claires comment about last year has got me thinking about last year. and how much stuff has happened in a year. and how much may still happen. and how much junk and rubbish has built up over the course of a year. and how much happier i am now compared to this time last year. and just thinking back, sometimes you think yeh why couldnt i go back to that point, that was such a good time. but then i look at all the other stuff, and theres no way i would ever go back to there. the last year has helped me grow so much and thats a good thing. but theres no way i would want to go there again.

anyway, on a more lighter note, last night we (me, julia, hilary, caroline) went for a walk on the bog. and it was FANTASTIC!!!! havent had such a great evening for ages! just being outside, with great people, on the bog, beautiful sunset, beautiful atmospheric place, LOVED it!!! and our dead frog :-( poor boris.

and the bats! and the dark and getting scared! and just all of it!!! being free and outside, peaceful, no-one else around, no school stuff, no junk and rubbish getting in the way, clears your head so much. wanna go back!! need to do it more often!

then the pub afterwards, that was fun too....altho we were very tired nd all i wanted to do was sleep! left earlyish to fetch elle and get some sleep!

wills party tonight (well, meal, whatever) thats gonna be great fun as well!!! oh i love all the wilmslow people so much! have so much fun!! (not that i dont love the rest of u to pieces as well)

anyhow, my family have gone on a trip to the garden centre, im gonna take this opportunity to go play the piano to my hearts content.....

how nice is it today??? its BEAUTIFUL! i have thursday afternoons off, so ive been sat in the garden with my cat enjoying the sunshine! FINALLY feels like its getting away from winter! i even hung the washing up outside!

its been a good week so far, not much has happened....well if it has i dont remember it..... sortin out may ball stuff - sheesh how complicated does it have to be?????

so yeh, thats just me commenting on how nice a day it is!! go outside and just enjoy the weather! Give thanks that we can! Thank God for Daffodils, or anything that makes u smile !!

anyway, this week ive been good and studious......well in the day at least..... been out quite a bit too....went to pizza hut with fiona and luce, that was such a good evening! and happened to see Wilmslow people too...added bonus! weds me and nic slept over at luces...(obviously she was there too...) and that was a FANTASTIC night, so good to just be us three again like old times!!! thursday went out with wilmslow people which was also a very good night! friday i stayed in and worked....ish lol we watched a film nd there was a big spider....nd it was dark and my laptop wasnt plugged in and it was a bit chaotic.... saturday was just a nice chilled out normal day....and then we watched doctor who.....oh my goodness how fantastic was that??????????

erm then today is normal sunday stuff and then back to school on monday!!! ARGH not long left!! but hey

ok well i have the internet on my laptop yayayayayay so..... a while ago i wrote something which was going to be a space entry, but i wrote it on this laptop and never quite got round to transferring it to the computer with internet access.... so now im online on here im going to put it on here... its a bit out of date but its still applicable!

 

'Ok I want to say some things that have hit me recently that I’ve been trying to get my head around. Maybe it wont mean anything to you, maybe it will.

We have bible study on Tuesdays and in our group we were looking at Psalm 8, but being our study group we get kinda distracted and talk about other stuff too. And so we got onto Psalm 139. which is an amazing psalm. Its one of those I’ve read before but not really looked closely at what it is actually saying. Just look at this for example: ‘You are familier with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord’. Woah. This is like, God knows everything we do and say and think before we do it, and its not like He only knows just before, ‘All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be’. Before I was born, before my parents were born, way back before anything existed, God knew exactly what I was going to be doing on 16^th February 2006. He knew what I was going to say during dinner, he knew whether I was going to argue with my friend, he knew what time I was going to wake up, He knew EVERYTHING about my day, even before days existed.

One of the lads in the group said something that really struck me. He pointed out that God knows everything and can do everything, so Hes had plenty of time to work out what I’m going to do with my life. Like, right now He knows what results I’m going to get in my A2 exams. He knows the EXACT point score I’m going to get. And that’s going to be the exact score for whatever He wants me to do. It might not be what I want, but it will be whatever He has decided. Its not to say that I don’t need to work hard, I still have to put the effort in, it just means that He knows whats going to be the result.

He knows me better than I know myself. ‘you are familier with all my ways’. You know when you know someone really really well and you know how they will react in a certain situation, you know what they’ll say or do in a certain situation, you know how they walk, how they sit, what their body language means. God knows that about me. But He doesn’t just know the visible stuff, He knows EVERYTHING. Like, one of the leaders said she’d dyed her hair so many times she didn’t know what its natural colour was. But God knows what it is. That’s something no-body in the world knows, but He knows. Sometimes I’m unsure of myself, I don’t know what I’d do if something or other happened, but God knows.

Sometimes stuff can be happening and life gets extremely frustrating. Its like you seem to be going round in circles. It all seems hopeless and like theres no obvious route to take. When somethings going on I can often feel like, yeh, there must be a reason for all this, and I know when its all over one day I will be able to look back and understand why it had to happen like that at that point. But whilst its happening its frustrating because you feel like saying ‘God just show me what point you’re trying to make!!!’ But it doesn’t work like that. The thing is, God knows just how much you can take. And that’s something I found really helpful to remember. No matter how unclear something is, God knows whats going on. Hes in control. Its like in Ruth, which we studied last term. Naomi comes back home and all this really bad stuff has happened to her, but she recognises that God is still in control. She might not like it, but she knows He is in control. I guess for some things we wont get an explanation until we get to heaven, by which time it wont matter because we will be with God and it will be fantastic and terrifyingly amazing!

Well, that’s just a few thoughts….dont you think its incredible tho, the awesome creator of the universe cares about me, hes in control of my life. He knows what EVERY SINGLE PERSON is thinking, what they’re going to say, everything. It blows my mind!'

 

so yeh, thats just a few thoughts from me.... since writing it psalm 139 has come up a lot with different stuff thats been going on, and its just incredible!! if you havent ever read it then do! and even if you have then read it again....look at the words and what it is actually saying, its incredible!

well

its THURSDAY!!! wooo I've caught up with the days at last! so, what have i been doin? well, we went to horsham!! i love it there soooo much, didnt wanna come home  but home is good too.... hmmm didnt do much there, normal family stuff, walking etc. went to kingston! that was good! and went to the sea! and got stuck in a traffic jam. set the new family record for the longest time to get to horsham - 8 hours it took! 3 and a half of those were sat on the m25. but to amuse ourselves (and because we had been sat in the car for seven hours) we walked on the motorway!!! was perfectly safe cos nobody was moving, lots of people were wandering around, but it was well funny!

last night i went out with some wilmslow girlies, that was much fun! had a great evening! and saw luce in the afternoon as well, was a near perfect day!!

so....lots of plans for the rest of these holidays, including getting lots of work done...which was supposed to happen today....oh well....

right, im off, have fun!

oh and remember the point of Easter. its not about chocolate and rabbits. its about a horrific death, and more importantly, the ressurection of our saviour. without easter we couldnt be saved. thank God this easter for all Hes done, cos Hes done so much more than we can ever deserve. Hes incredible!

well im having a fantastic day!! no really, i am!! its been so great so far! i dont really know why, for various reasons i was expecting it to be a really bad day, but its been so hilariously funny and such great fun! an example.....theres this book sale on the the library, any book for 20p. so me and emma went to look. i got one book, which is really good and interesting. and emma kept finding books and adding them to her pile. and we went to pay and the librarian was like 'oh we have a whole set of these books, do u want them?' so we followed her and sure enough emma got all those as well. i know it doesnt sound it, but it was absolutely hilarious! she bought 16 in total i think....

and i got very confused when i got to school. coz i went to sign in (come in late on thursdays) and the person before me had put the date of 1/3/06. so i was like hmmmmm im sure thats not right. so i put a 3 infront of the 1. and then thought, no thats not right either. and then i was like, what is the date then??? so i made it up. coz i dont know. lol then later on i was in sociology and i had to put the date....and i remembered the signing in thing and had hysterics.

honestly it was funny.

and my sociology class is weird. we had a very very very funny discussion, it was so stupid that i was actually in hysterics, my teacher was crying with laughter and everyone just collapsed in hysterics. my teacher was like 'ok you can all go now, you arent going to do any work and i dont wanna see you lot anymore, just go away' so we went lol.

what else??? hmmm i dunno.

u know, when people are sad they usually say thank you to their friends for cheering them up. i know, i do it sometimes. well today i know it wasnt my friends who cheered me up (altho they did too) but it was my God. coz hes absolutely incredible, and i know it was him who gave me such an unexpectedly good day. and i know it was on his strength that i got through it having such a good time. hes absolutely fantastic and i dont tell him half as much as i should how much he means to me. Its him who is keeping me alive. thats a lyric i picked up on at the Big Deal launch on tuesday, its God who is keeping me alive, hes the one who could end it all now, but he hasnt so far, he just continues to bless me sooo much. even when i dont recognise it, its him who is working in my life and its him who continues to be my rock and firm foundation!

ok so yeh, praise and thank our God in everything, hes fantastic and we wouldnt be here without him!!!

i need to do the ironing. but those boys are watching lord of the rings. again.

woooo you have no idea how happy this has made me!!!!!

basically, years and years ago i got given some random free cds from a newspaper or something. well, one of the songs on it was amazing and i loved it. then me being me, I lost the CD. but i still sing the song to myself sometimes, just in my head. and today i did yet another internet search for it and found it!!!! woooo its well cool! unfortuntely i only have the lyrics which i knew anyway, but still, its a start!

no, this whole entry isnt going to be about cafe nero, but it was the most amusing thing to happen yesterday. well, apart from mine and luces pool competition.....

so we went to cafe nero. such a lovely place. hahaha. and there was this guy. oh what fun we have there. and he challenged us to do this tray thingy and if we could do it we would get a free slice of cake. needless to say we made fools of ourselves. but he gave us free chocolate instead! it was an absolutely hilarious trip.

then i went home, but caroline came with me and we got a pizza (again). and i drove her home bt it was well scary coz it was raining so much i couldnt see out of my windscreen. ARGH.

then i went to luces. and that was hilarious. woooo i nearly won the pool competition......well ok, nearly ish. ok not anywhere near. but it was very very very funny. especially when i managed to miss ALL of the balls. oh well.

today i intend to go shopping (again) because i have no credit.

you know, people can be so nice and lovely. but do other girls object to guys not letting them pay for drinks? not that i mind that much, i mean, yeh its nice, but im really not that poor......

I borrowed the Lois and Clark DVD from caroline. she said 'watch it, it'll cheer u up'. yeh so i go and watch the wedding one. if ur not familier with it, basically lois gets engaged to lex, and clark tells her hes in love with her...and im not gonna spoil it, but noooooooo the ending is sooooo sad!!! and with his fingers crossed and all.

ah well

I heard it a few months ago and have been searching for it for ages, last night i heard it again and as it was on the radio they said what it was, so now i know! its beautiful, kinda depressing, but i love it. well, school has started back, have nearly survived one week (just about).

it snowed today. has stopped now, bt it keeps stopping and starting all day.

its very cold.

the buses are stayin runnin for an extra 2 months on top of what they were supposed to be doin. which sucks.

in case ur readin this john, i jst wanna let u know i appriciate u a lot. u cheered me up quite a bit yday. as did luce.

im sorry to anyone im crabby to. my friends are great, even if i dont seem to show that i know it.

u ever noticed how all the smileys are yellow? is it just me who thinks thats weird?

we had this voting thing in the library today as its book day or week or somethin, which character from any book would make the best boyfriend......mr darcy was on there (altho thats debatable, hes a bit moody, but then again theres all that smouldering passion......), as was cedric diggory hahaha which made me laugh, and as elle pointed out hes dead so that might be a slight problem. and there were others bt anyway.

yeh im not supposed to be saying 'but anyway', but hey. and i say that far too much too. ah well.

well we went to sheffield.

that was interesting.

it was also fun.

and hilarious in parts.

like when georges housemate came down at half seven and found two girls sleepin in the kitchen....(note...tell housemates when you have random people coming to stay..)

we spent 7 hours in medowhall.

sat on a bench.

and meeting luke.

which was also very funny.

we bought a very sexist book, and read it in mcdonalds.

i walked into a door in mcdonalds.

it hurt.

met up with jennie.

slept not very much.

this isnt in order by the way.

watched a lot of superman.

well, we didnt watch his face anyway.

hahahahaha soooo funny.

ate so much healthy food.

mcdonalds for lunch on weds, pizza hut for tea. mini eggs for breakfast, pizza hut for lunch on thurs.

am very tired now.

despite it being half 12 and i only got up half an hour ago.

the windowcleaners woke me up :-(

my family are shopping.

i need some more money....spent too much in sheffield....
